Thordis Adalsteinsdottir Work Acquired by the Reykjavík Art Museum’s Collection

We are excited to announce that ”Solitaire“ by Thordis Adalsteinsdottir has been acquired by the Reykjavík Art Museum’s Collection.

Thordis Adalsteinsdottir was born in Reykjavik, Iceland, and divides her time between Reykjavik and Rennes, France. Influenced by post-pop art, minimalism, and expressionism, her practice involves meticulous horizontal brushstrokes to create imagery characterized by flatness, absurdity, and alienation. Adalsteinsdottir’s work explores existential questions by blending somber themes and childlike playfulness.
