What Nature Allows : Ana Teresa Barboza Solo Exhibition
Exhibition
What Nature Allows is Peruvian artist Ana Teresa Barboza’s first solo exhibition in Taiwan. This exhibition expresses the inwardness of all beings in nature and the necessity of observation to the traces of nature. Along with textiles, Barboza revisits the Peruvian traditional culture of craftsmanship, integrating contemporary artistic practice and exploring the language of nature and the process of the environment.
Ana Teresa Barboza expresses her fascination with Peruvian nature and the intimacy with textiles between media through mixed media of textile and sculpture, from tapestries that incorporate embroidery, photography, or sculptures composed with silk threads and stones.
