Alchemyverse: Networks of Kisses
“We consider ourselves travelers of deep time. Amongst different time scales in our material world and even the universe there lies intricate perceptual exchanges between the living and the dead, or seemingly dead. Our artistic interest does not lie in the representation of the physical world but in the metaphysical realm - through acquired instincts by letting the environment into oneself, resembling that of becoming a petrified wood.”

Nunu Fine Art New York is pleased to present Networks of Kisses, an exhibition by the contemporary art collective Alchemyverse. The exhibition will inaugurate our PROJECT SPACE: ASIAN VOICES, a new initiative that will serve as a dedicated platform in New York City to showcase and elevate experimental artistic expressions from Asia and the Asian diaspora.
In Networks of Kisses the artist duo will reenact their scale-shifting studio in the gallery space, as a reflection on their field research in different locales where natural forces have shaped and changed human perceptions about time, materiality, and ultimately, life itself. Their research-based installation will feature handmade prints, copper plate drawings, and photographs taken by the artists, and a multisensory field of sound and haptics, unfolding on a raised platform in the center.
